What L2 means
There may be a problem with the home power supply, so the heater won't turn on. The dryer keeps running.
Likely causes
- One of the two dryer breakers tripped
- Power cord installed incorrectly
- No 240 V supply
Safe first checks
- Check both breakers for the dryer. Electric dryers use a 30-amp double breaker, and if one side trips, the dryer runs but won't heat.
- Turn the breaker(s) off for 1 minute, back on, and start a Timed Dry cycle.
When to stop
If L2 persists, have a qualified electrician check the 240 V supply and the cord connection.
