About this valve part

NDS (National Diversified Sales) 1700 Series low-profile swing check valve with 2" slip sockets, clear PVC body and true-union ends, rated 125 psi. A swing check valve lets water flow one way only, so it stops backflow into a heater, chlorinator, solar or spa line when the pump shuts off.

The clear body lets you see the flapper working, and the true-union ends unscrew so you can service or replace the valve without cutting pipe. Install it with the flow arrow pointing in the direction of water flow, and match the 2" slip size to your plumbing.
