What Sud means
There are too many suds, so the washer extends the rinse and pauses tumbling to let suds break down. This may happen several times.
Also shown as: Sd, depending on the model.
Likely causes
- Non-HE detergent
- Too much detergent
- "No splash" or "easy pour" thickened chlorine bleach
- Restricted drain hose or standpipe
Safe first checks
- Use only HE detergent and measure it.
- If you used a thickened "no splash" bleach, switch to regular liquid bleach.
- Check that the drain hose isn't kinked or clogged.
When to stop
This isn't a fault.
